PERSONALITY:
LOYAL;even as a child, when annelise was by your side, she would be there forever. however, such loyalty came with difficulty. she finds it to be a nuisance at times, and often wishes that she could simply play for her own team. no one in her family really had this trait, her parents showing the trait more boldly than the others. even though she finds that being loyal can be extremely annoying, it has it's perks as well. she has many friends now because they all know that anne would never double-cross them, as much as she tried.
TIMID;anne has always been timid. even when she has tried those few years in school to be loud and outgoing and the life of the party, she never succeeded. she often found it hard because well.... people honestly were scary to her. so self destructive and harmful to others, it makes her uncomfortable. this is another thing anne doesn't like about herself, but she understands that maybe it would just be better to be extremely cautious than to throw caution to the wind as if nothing were to happen to her. even when she was a mere infant did she express how quiet she was around people. always trying to hold back a cry and not bring attention to herself.
HARD WORKER;yes, annelise is a hard worker. everything she does she will put 110% into. doesn't matter if she's feeding your cat, or building a house. she was raised to be that way, and observed her parents and how much effort they put into everything. she was born into a working class family, what else could you expect? it never struck her as work though, just an admiration to making things the best they could be ( as cliché as it may sound ). anne never really questioned why her parents worked twice as hard as her friends' parents.
PLEASER;hard work and pleasing go hand in hand really. a hard worker would not work so hard not to please someone, right?
CLUMSY;everyone that knows clarice will call her this. she constantly is knocking things over, running into things, on occasion breaking things, and even severely injuring but not exactly breaking something/someone. she knows that she is a klutz, but to annelise she'd rather call it a "depth perception" problem. most of her friends joking watch over her and make sure that nothing sharp, expensive, or fragile is in her way. anne simply says that she doesn't pay attention to her soundings and that her brain thinks things are farther, or closer than they really are.
HISTORY
FAMILY:
mother; francis aldren (nee ritcher), 46, stay at home mom
father; neil aldren, 46, retired ministry technician
brother; ___ ___ aldren, 15, ravenclaw
HISTORY:
annelise was born on may 24th in bordeaux, france on a nice spring day. for the first few months of her life, it seemed as though anne's mother and father were completely infatuated with their new daughter. they spent more time with her than with anyone else, and frequently turned down offers to go out simply to stay home with her. however, as much as it seemed like it they weren't stay home just for the baby, it was a large factor though. they stayed home because of multiple things. annelise's mother, francis was paranoid that something awful would happen to her, something that was completely out of their control. this was because annelise's mother had a reputation on the streets. for a few months she had been a prostitute. not out of force, but simply because she wanted to defy her own mother. francis had attended beauxbatons academy of magic for sometime before rebelling against her family. for some few months francis lived the street life until finally tiring of it. she had no tragic events happen to her, never once was she raped the worst was that she was robbed. however she was treated to awfully, like a piece of trash.
but doesn't the thought of someone being a prostitute by choice come off as such? if not worse.
francis tried to cut off all of her street ties, but not all could be destroyed. her and her family made the decision to send her to britain and have her attend hogwarts. to fran's delight they accepted her, it was rather reluctant though. francis was sorted in raveclaw, and luckily no one was aware of her past. most people welcomed her with open arms, and many men found her to be rather attractive. she dated for a couple of months before growing tired of the same boys searching after her. only in the nick of time did neil aldren, a loud, bold courageous gryffindor boy finally found the nerve to ask her out. at first francis found him to be slightly bothersome and immature. finally he grew on her though, and their relationship bloomed. it was at the worst possible time though, as the war between he-who-must-not-be-named and harry potter escalated. neil had signed up for dumbledore's army. most would have expected for francis to be worried about neil and to oppose this, but she did not. she didn't believe in the order of the phoenix or dumbledore's army, her beliefs swayed more towards those of the death eaters but she never said anything of it. she was afraid of losing him, especially since he was against it.
the was was over. it was done. 'lightness has overthrown darkness.' as some had said. there was victory in the air, consuming the failure of the death eaters. the young couple were ecstatic, no longer did they have to fear for theirs lives and they could carry on a normal life. that is until neil managed to impregnate francis. when they found out they were more happy than shocked, only because they assumed that they were ready for baby. of course they weren't, but neither or their parents could refuse them anything due to not wanting to ruin the infants chances of survival. neil suggested they move to france by francis's parents, out of respect. they did so, however francis was extremely wary and reluctant. she didn't want to risk neil finding out about her previous actions. there was always a false sense of security looming around her. after a few months francis found herself trusting a little bit more, and becoming less and less worried.
in only a couple of months francis found out that she was pregnant once again. this excited annelise, as she would have a younger sibling to play with. this pregnancy was not one of ease though, the new child was unable to be delivered naturally so they were forced to perform a cesarean section on francis. she had a beautiful baby boy. for days she was in pain, unable to move even the slightest without setting off some kind of what felt like sharp jab to wherever on her body. she was finally able to heal, however it took much longer than what the doctors has anticipated. after a few months of the second baby's delivery francis thought it would be best if they moved back to england, she had liked it over there more she did here. she also wanted the children to attend hogwarts, she thought beauxbatons would bore them as it did her.
annelise lived a fair childhood. she was surrounded by her father's side of the family and on occasion visited her grandparents in france. finally her 11th birthday came, and for every other witch and wizard out there it came with something special, her invitation to attend the academy of wizardry and witchcraft Hogwarts. when annelise received her invitation she was beyond ecstatic, her brother not all so much. she was to attend hogwarts so she could form into a responsible, well educated adult. or that was what her parents told her, for education in the aldren household was extremely important.
the spring months rolled along quickly, turning into summer. finally, summer was coming to a close and August would finally turn into september. anne became restless; she could only imagine the possibilities and events that would come to meet her once she went to school. then, the fateful day came, the first of september. annelise had risen at five in the morning so she could start packing and prepare herself for a whole year without her parents. She was happy that she could escape from her parents for a while, but also slightly saddened to know that they would spend months alone in the house although they had her brother. either way, she knew that destined to go, well that is if you believe in destiny. after several hours of anticipation Aria awoke her parents whom took her to platform 9 and ¾. aria stood there, a smile dancing across her face. the hogwarts express finally reached the station, making loud bellowing sounds as it came to a halt.
annelise was sorted into hufflepuff and has been having an exceptionally fun time.
NEED TO KNOW
ROLEPLAY SAMPLE:
The smart girl, the indecisive girl, the pretty girl, the modern mystery. All these labels could describe Kristin, and they did, quiet well in fact. For years on end she rarely spoken to anyone. Of course many people recognized her for this always wanting to approach her, but never did because it was confusing as how to. Many had problems figuring out why she was so quiet, Ravenclaw or not, but when she was with friends she was as loud as could be. This of course attracted many boys, all finding her attractive, all trying to coax her out of her shell and the rest of their intention's most obvious. It never worked though, all their attempts for nothing. For any other normal girl it probably would have, but she was a Ravenclaw, wiser than the others, and her family raised her in a strict conservative household. Strict as in meaning skirts were to be at least past the knees, only a few centimeter's above the knees were either ruled out, or a one time exception.
Kristin's parents found this to be a positive reinforcement, hoping to teach their youngest (and only) daughter not to grow to be a cheap floozy. And they were right, but only to a certain degree, Kris had learned how to dress herself appropriately, but with everything came with a price. She rebelled against her parents, in which she had never done, it just a blow to them. She recalled a fight she had with her mother once when she had been caught talking to one of the local "bad boys" of the neighborhood. Her mother went up to her, furious, a heated argument surfaced and once they had finished she had sent dearest Kristin inside the house. Kris had never argued with her mother, not even raised her voice at, and this could hurt any mother. However, it hurt her mother quite a bit, to know that your daughter was against you? It was heart wrenching. Who would want to know that their little girl had grown into something other than what they'd expected them to be?
Of course Kristin did have a point. Her mother had no right to yell at her, for she was only being asked a simple question. Even if that question came from the boy that her family had a strong opinion about. She hadn't even had the intention to speak to him, for she had no interest in him either. He was a rather horrible person, Kris had always thought down on him, and for being an opinionated person she had rather low standards on the way she perceived others. She is judgmental, but only when it is necessary, which lead to her snarky opinions and harsh criticism. All in all it was genetics, her family was full of critics whom expected more out of people than they should, but she gained the better side of the trait. Kristin kept her opinions to herself unless asked to share them, but once she shared them it was a rather full-blown kind of thing.
But she always felt as though she needed to judge to make herself feel better about herself. Even if it was a tad. Which sparked her jealousy, and from jealousy comes insecurity. Most of the arguments she had had with Noah came from jealousy, whether it was from her end or his. That's when the nastier side of Kris came out, the side that could make anyone rethink a relationship with someone like her. Someone like Kristin would have to try their up most hardest to bite their tongue, which was exactly what she had to do from time to time. Out of all the terrible things that came out of her mouth, she always had something worse than that, that she had managed to hold back. It was never easy though, it took everything she could to keep quiet.
Kristin was always happy with herself in the end though, despite anything she had said, because she knew there was something even worse to that, that she could have, but didn't. However, she never always was pleased with herself, she found it harder and harder to just keep her mouth shut in an argument. She actually never wanted to argue, it was mostly a sub-conscious thing that would nip at her. In only a second did she return to reality, as she was in her own little world, and notice the world around her again. In only a quick second did she find herself staring back at Noah, their eyes connecting for a few mere moments before she quickly averted them back at the ground. Her pulse rate became uneasy, and she blinked a few times before taking a deep breath.
It was like falling in love again, as cliché as it sounded. "I often thought that I might not be the one you really wanted". he began the answer to her question "Like, I don't know, at times you would become bored with me. Given the current conditions," he finished. She shook her head at the thought. She knew she tended to be rather secluding at times, but had it been worse than she thought? It was just another one of the few lovely traits she had achieved for herself. She watched as he motioned to the grounds, it made sense, but being stuck in one place could drive a person to insanity. "I figured you were just too frustrated, and felt too caged in to have me tie you down." he began again. Kristin looked up at him, her eyes twinkling with apology. She felt another small gust of wind blow across the grounds and rubbed her hands together, the weather was turning from a bearable temperature to an icy death wish.
These were the times that she wished she would have just kept all of her opinions and urges for an argument to herself. It was unfair to everyone else that they had to listen to her constant babble whenever she found it to be convenient for her. Especially to Noah, she had taken most of it out on him. Within the year they had been dating on and off she had taken almost all of her problems out on him. She just simply manifested them into something other than what they were. Out of all the verbal altercations they had, most of them could have been prevented, or even down-sized, but they weren't. Mostly because she felt the need to "let it all out" which she never did often.
From the corner of her eyes she noticed him move, only slightly though. But he had moved closer to her, which made her heart jump for a second. Then for the second time their eyes meet again, Kris felt as though her heart might jump out of her chest. He then extended his hand, and touched hers. A feeling of relief washed over her entire body, and she grabbed his, looking up at him and smiling again.
