Albus was so excited when he located an empty classroom on the music floor…. also the 3rd floor and he quickly ran inside it, closing the door behind him. His blue eyes gleamed at the piano that sat in the middle of the room. He walked towards it slowly almost like he was walking towards an old friend he hadn’t seen for years. True he hadn’t played the piano since summer…at home his parents had bought him a grand piano that was practically his best friend and to be parted from it was very weird for the 16 year old. He walked towards it, stretching out his hand; he placed it on the keyboard, his fingers receiving an electric shock with the delight of the feeling of the keys. He smiled and sat down on the bench he cracked his fingers before he reached forward and played a chord. He smiled and let out a sigh. It had been quite a stressful week.
All his classes were a lot harder this year seeing as he was a N.E.W.T student this year and he had to pretty much decide what career he wanted to pursue. Albus had some things in mind but all he knew for sure is that he was going to be successful in anything he did. He didn’t want to grow up and still be known as Harry Potter’s oddball son. No. He was going to be known for something HE accomplished and not his father. But being a good student like he was all that homework he had been assigned for this week was already done and he was already 3 chapters ahead of everyone in transfiguration so he was set for awhile…hence why he was now taking the time to play the piano.
He stopped playing for a moment a pulled out a cigarette, he glanced at the door debating whether that was a good idea or not. Probably not. He took out his wand and flicked it at the door, it would now lock automatically if a teacher tried to enter. Then he stood up walked towards the large window next to the piano and opened it. He then walked back to the bench, sat, and now satisfied he lit his cig and took a long drag then exhaled smoke surrounded his head and he sighed with relief. Putting the cig loosely in his mouth he continued to play the piano. This was Albus’ heaven.

WE'RE GOING AT IT TONIGHT, THERE'S A PARTY ON THE ROOFTOP TOP OF THE WORLD Brushing her fingers through her damp hair, twisting the heavy locks up into a messy knot on the top of her head Auden let a contented sigh escape softly from between her lips. Fresh from the shower, Auden had just finished playing a two on two game of quidditch with her brothers and one of their friends that had tagged along. Although Auden didn’t play on the team at school, she found that growing up with two older brothers who were feverish for the sport, and always looking for someone to play against during summer breaks, you developed a mediocre amount of skill. It was a nice way to pass a Saturday afternoon, and spending time with her brothers always guaranteed a few hours of good natured joking and teasing. However, it went without fail that Auden always craved a little solitude after spending time with her siblings, and she knew just where to go to find it.
Auden had stumbled upon the empty music room on the third floor sometime in her second year, and had made regular visits since then. It was a very rare occasion that a week went by that Auden didn’t slip away from the hustle and bustle of everything else just to spend an hour or so sitting at the keys. Being alone at the piano always brought a certain solace to the young witch, though it hadn’t always been that way. When Auden had first taking lessons, at her mother’s insistence, she had loathed the instrument and her gnarled, old instructor. Practicing had taken time away from the things that Auden would rather spend her time doing, as so the piano was generally neglected until her weekly lesson, where Auden was berated for her lack of progress and sour attitude. Seeing these dismal results Gabrielle had replaced Auden’s teacher in a last hope attempt. And surprisingly enough, that had seemed to do the trick.
He was Auden’s first crush. At 25, Alfred was a little over three times Auden’s own eight year, but that hadn’t fazed the little girl. She was completely besotted with the young man, in his large spectacles and quirky habit of referring to the instrument as the ‘pianoforte.’ In retrospect, Auden had been completely silly about the whole ordeal, but her desperation to impress Alfred drove her to practice with all stubborn determination the child could muster. Her love for Alfred quickly passed as the years went on, but her fervor for the piano only seemed to grow with time. She wasn’t a musical prodigy, by any stretch of the imagination, but she played more than decently. The theory behind the music went completely over her head, but her ear for the notes was impressive, and Auden frequently amused herself by pounding out familiar tunes on the keys.
Approaching the room Auden reached out for the knob, annoyed to find the door locked tight. Pursing her lips in irritation she rattled the knob to no avail. Assuming a teacher had finally realized that the students were putting use to the room and locked it up Auden turned to walk away, stopping suddenly. She could smell smoke; wafting out from the door and immediately her curiosity was piqued. Pulling out her wand Auden set to work on the lock, succeeding after a charm or two and pushing the door open quietly, not quite sure what she would find inside.
